“The term ‘archaeology’ comes from two Greek words: arkhaisos (αρχαιος) meaning old or ancient + logos (λογος) meaning word, speech, or study. Thus the Greek word arkhaiologia (αρχαιολογια) means the study of ancient history or culture originally focused on ancient lore and legends.”[1]
